Why you should travel to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is a wonderful place with lots of things to visit and see. For one, for U.S. residents, Puerto Rico does not require a passport of any kind which makes travel much easier. As such, it becomes very easy to get a direct flight from a major U.S.  city straight to Puerto Rico. This lessens the cost and difficulty that comes up when making arrangements to other resort locations, leaving more money on hand to have fun with in Puerto Rico. Of important notice is to avoid the territory on it's holidays. One holiday specifically would be The Three Kings Day. Most places for tourists to have fun will be shut down on this holiday, which falls on January 6th. If you are interested in golf, Puerto Rico has some of the best golf courses in the world. One of the perceived difficulties of going to another country is dealing with language barriers. This is not such a big deal in Puerto Rico. While Spanish usage is very big there, English is also recognized and used quite frequently.

One big cultural connection that exists in Puerto Rico that is shared with the U.S. is that of baseball. The island doesn't have a major team, at least not in Major League Baseball, but they are known for their love of baseball and have their own league. One more detail that is worth pondering over is the weather. Puerto Rico has fantastic weather all year long. This means you can enjoy the wonderful beaches and other resort options without having to compromise. Any time of the year will end up being a fantastic choice for enjoying the weather, so you don't have to deal with the cold that some other vacation options can have if you are unable to get there at a specific time in the year. In addition to that, Puerto Rico has a rich, storied history as a major port of strategic importance. As such, there are many port towns with their own distinct cultures and heritage to explore and take in.

  1. After reading your post I have learned more about Puerto Rico than I already knew. The wonderful beaches and beautiful scenery is a nice touch added to the welcoming and colorful culture. What I would like to know more about is the Three King Day? Why is it so important?
